Like myself and so many others Christmas is a favorite holiday. As I was in the process of writing and preparing this blog I’m a little surprised I’m just now writing a Christmas themed blog. Now I know some of the things listed not everyone enjoys like I do. For those that aren’t Christmas fans don’t be a Grinch, enjoy the list; let’s get into it!
Seeing loved ones and catching up on life is a must. Make sure you get time with them because I can guarantee they want to see you just as much as you want to see them. Not only does spending time allow you to catch up, see them, hug them, but it also gives you the chance to chill and relax with them.
2. Drink all the Christmas drinks
Literally all the drinks; egg nog, hot cider, hot chocolate (with marshmallows of course), anything with peppermint in it.
There is just something about getting decorations up that really gets me in the Christmas spirit. I don’t think it sounds right to say in the same breath that this is my favorite time of the year and not have a single decoration up. The lights, the tree, even the inflatable Santa, snowman, or even the robo reindeer in your front yard are a must
4. Christmas music
At our house this is usually played the day after Thanksgiving. Not only is this great to listen to, but you can sing or bellow at your own discretion, no judgement
5. Visit a Christmas tree farm
This is actually one of those fast track ways to get in the spirit. I can guarantee that if you visit one you’ll feel it instantly
6. Get you a Christmas sweater
For those that instantly said nope, not happening. Yes, I know most of them are tacky and maybe even ugly but you get a few gems here and there. Have an ugly sweater contest maybe drink some nog and be amazed
7. Go look at Christmas lights on houses around your neighborhood/city
One of my favorite things is to see just how all out someone can go on Christmas lights. Maybe even run into a light show.
8. Nba on Christmas day
Wake up, open gifts, breakfast, sips coffee…BASKETBALL. If you know me I love the game, every single bit of it and watching a little ball on Christmas day is a must
9. Christmas Movies
In my opinion this is the piece de resistance. If you know me I love a good Christmas movie
Just to rattle off a few:
- The Grinch
- Miracle on 34th
- The Polar Express
- The Santa Clause (all)
- Home Alone
- Christmas Chronicles
- White Christmas
- Charlie Brown Christmas
- A Christmas Carol
- It a Wonderful Life
- Die Hard (just agree with it)
- Hope you enjoy
Hope you enjoyed.
Till next time,
